Grace and peace to you! All the women of the church are cordially invited and encouraged to attend the Mother-Daughter Celebration this Saturday, June 23, at 10:00 am. The brunch will be at 11:00 am in the Jackson Hall. Set up for the celebration will be tomorrow night (Friday) 6:30 pm. See you here!

The committee would like to request your presence at the Reappointment (or Welcome Back) Luncheon of our Pastor Michael Dobbs. This is a very special event for our church family to show our support for our pastor, Olga, and their family! We are asking that all committees and other groups within Emmanuel to be present for this luncheon. June 24, 2007 at 12:00 PM, Jackson Hall. Please bring a side dish as the church will provide brisket and sausage. (This is very necessary!)

Take note of the following news!
  • This Lord's Day (Sunday, June 24) I will preach about the "King of the Kingdom/El Rey del Reino". Please read Matthew 13 before you come noticing how many times Jesus uses the words "king" and "kingdom".
  • There will be a canned food drive from now through VBS. Bins (trash cans) will be available in the narthex.
  • Important Youth Parents' meeting at the end of the Welcome Back Luncheon for the pastor. Hna. Armida Aleman has some important information for all the parents.
  • Prayer and Worship time for the Praise Band with the pastor Sunday evening at 6:00 pm
  • Youth Week: Monday, June 25, 6:30-8:00 pm Belinda Rojas will share about youth mission opportunities Tuesday, June 26, 6:30-8:00 pm Recreation Night Wednesday, June 27, 6:00-7:30 pm- Banner and Flower making
God bless you today to be a blessing to someone else! Thanks for your prayers for Chris Martinez, Olga's brother! Continue to pray for him. He will probably come off the ventilator tomorrow. Pray for Noel Almanza (blood infection) and for Evangelina Gabrillo (David Rosas' mother) whose leg will be amputated today. She and Noel are at St. David's Hospital on 32nd St.
