Emmanuel News 2007-07-20
Dear Emmanuel Family,
We are eating breakfast currently on Friday morning at Youth Assembly in Sacramento. It has been a challenging but a blessed week! Thanks for your prayers during the week and for your prayers as we leave to travel home (about 2:00 pm your time). God has been good and very present!
Let us pray for the family of Frances Villarreal Ortiz (one of the twins) who died in Christ on Monday and will be buried today in Corpus Christi through Kelsey Memorial UMC, her home church. Let us most especially lift up Anastasia Villarreal, her twin sister!!
I look forward to worshiping our Lord with you around the Table of the Lord this Lord's Day (Sunday) in our Service of Healing and Communion. Invite friends and neighbors who need prayer for healing be it physical or inner healing. The sermon will be "Kingdom Culture". What is the culture of the Kingdom of God?
Other coming events are:
  • Thursday, July 26- 6:00- Lay Leadership Committee (Nominations)
  • 6:30 pm- Christian Education Committee
  • 6:30 pm- SPRC
  • Saturday, July 28- 8:30 am- Church Council
  • Sunday, July 29 Revival Services with the Rev. Abraham Ramirez (8:20 and 11:00 am)
  • Emmanuel "Family of God" Retreat at HEB Camp in Leakey, Texas August 10-12. Talk to Danny Flores to register.
God bless you to be a blessing to someone else today!
Your pastor and brother in Christ,
Michael Dobbs B.
