Dear Emmanuel Family,

We regret to announce that Hno. Juan Almanza, husband of Herlinda Almanza, who moved to Laredo a little over two years ago, died (in Christ) Sunday. The Velorio/Prayer Service will be tomorrow, Wednesday, at 7:00 pm at Cook-Walden Funeral Home on North Lamar and the funeral service will be at Emmanuel on Thursday at 10:00 am. Let us pray for Hna. Herlinda, his children and for all his relatives in our church.

Let us also pray for David Rosas, his siblings, and Nora Elia as David's mother, Evangelina Gabarillo, died in the operating room yesterday (Monday) at St. David's Hospital. The funeral will be at Cristo Rey/Christ the King Church. Hna. Evangelina was a member of our Arco Iris Emmaus Community. We will miss her presence at VBS. We will send out an e-mail with the service times this afternoon as soon as we get them.

The Youth Praise Band from El Buen Pastor UMC in San Marcos will be at Youth Week this evening, Tuesday, at 6:30 pm. The youth will have a light supper at 6:30 and the service will begin at 7:00 pm. All the church in invited and of course, most especially, our youth! It will be a blessing!!! Tomorrow night the Youth Week Banner Making Session will be at 5:00 pm and last until 6:30 so that those who wish may attend the Juan Almanza velorio. See you here tonight! God bless you!
