Ash Wednesday Service and Dinner

Ash Wednesday, Feb. 25, we will have a Lenten Congregational Covered dish at 5:30 pm followed by the Ash Wednesday Service (Communion and Impostion of Ashes) at 6:30 pm. Do not miss this significant and evangelistic service. Invite your neighbors, friends, and associates. They will hear and see the gospel. Call me at 589-8991 or e-mail if you will bring a dish to the covered dish. Thanks for your help and let us pray for the service!

Miercoles de ceinza, el 25 de febrero, tendremos una cena congregacional de cuaresma a las 5:30 pm y el culto de miercoles de ceniza (La comunion y la Imposicion de la Ceniza) a las 6:30 pm. No pierda este culto significado y evangelistico. Invita a sus vecinos, amigos , y socios. Escucharan y veran al evangelio. Llameme (589-8991) si puede traer un platillo a la cena o aviseme por e-mail. Gracias por su ayuda y ore por el culto!

Emmanuel News: February 18, 2009

Dear Emmanuel Family/ Querida Familia de Emmanuel,
     Grace and peace to you!  Many thanks to Dr. Paul Barton for having proclaimed the Word of the Lord and for having celebrated the Holy Communion in my absence this past Sunday!!  Do not miss this Lord's Day (Sunday)!  The acolytes will have a special training at 9:00 am and the Volunteer Ministry Fair/ Feria de Ministerios will be in the patio before and after service.  Be sure and take time to see all the booths and to see to what God may be calling you./ No falte este domingo.  Los acolitos tendran un entrenamietno especial a las 9:00 am y la Feria de Ministerios se llevara acabo en el patio  antes y despues del culto.  Llegue a ver todos los puestos.  Vamos a ver a donde usted siente que Dios le este llamando.  The youth will have a gathering over lunch with Leticia Estavillo at 12:15 pm.  Please read Mark 9:2-18 in preparation for the service.  I will be preaching a very important message on "The Peak but not the Goal/ La Cima pero no la Meta".
Let us pray for the service and invite friends!!/ Oremos por el culto y invitemos a unos amigos y socios.
     Many thanks to Hope Rodriguez, Amy Phillips, Leonila Gonzalez, and Carolina Flores who are serving lunch to the pastors (pastores y pastoras) of ALMA (Alianza Latina Ministerial de Austin).  We host ALMA once every three years.  It is our honor to do so today!!
